Music entered my life early. By the time I was eight, I had already started finding my voice. Growing up in a home filled with Urdu poetry and Punjabi music, I was constantly surrounded by sound and emotion. I spent a lot of time listening to great singers and paying attention to how they expressed themselves. Living in the United States also exposed me to Western production and modern sounds, but the music I grew up with at home always stayed at the center of what inspired me.
